
On this tour, he’s accompanied only by a keyboardist, but he’s trying to avoid a static singer-songwriter approach. “We’re running really modern loops and making them into a really interesting modern duo set,” he says. “We’re bringing the energy.”
There’s a common bond among the three acts, he says. “We all share this sense of — there’s a positivity in the air,” he says. “Everyone’s bringing a real positive energy, and the crowd’s reacting to it. After the show we hang out with all the fans, it’s just a beautiful thing.”
“That’s all we want these days, we want people to be happy, and kind of accept life for what it is,” he says. “You know, you can strive for the best, you can try to be better and all that stuff, but at the end of the day, you know, you are what you are. We’re here. So let’s enjoy it. And that’s kind of been the feeling out there.”
