Personal Review of the Album 11:59.
    says (Aug 15, 2010)

Being a friend and fan of ryan star for a very long time, and with my musical background, I would like to post a review of ryan album 11:59. Please post your reviews as well here. I want to read what others think.

The album is a soild "A." Ryan has come a very long way since his days with stage and the start of the solo career. The album is very clean and very polished. This is a great start for him on the major label debut. I do miss the rawness that he has with stage and his early solo career but what can you do. But what he misses in rawness, the trade off is passion.

This is a great start for him on the major label debut. I do miss the rawness that he has with stage and his early solo career but what can you do. I do miss "back of your car" on the album. Maybe on the next record.

The 1st 4 songs are great! The remix of We might fall has improved greatly since is days as an infant. It is sadly one of the last songs that was written during the stage days. This could be the year; a staple for anyone who has goals in life and believes that this time is the last. Unbreak, a new song that I have never herd before. Different, my downer song but it is a song that will warm up to me.

Start a fire. A new one. Sex anyone? This is one of those songs that has a dance quality club vibe. Prolly one of those songs that will have a remix verson for the clubs.

Losing your memory. I cry everytime I hear it. It has been modified since the early days. I love the bagpipes and the marching snare and timpany. Very emotional, very passionate. This is the one song I can't get enough of.

and fianlly 11:59. It tells a true story, I hope that this song gets to be a single and promo video. To hear it finally with the whole band is truly great!

Ryan you have come along way! I'm proud of you and thank you.

Love the whole cd I bought the 5 song cd at his concert 05 August 10th last year at his St. Louis concert and waiting all that time to get the new music seemed like forever, needless to say I just about wore out that cd waiting, I have 3 cds of his in my 6 disc cd changer in the car love everything that he does, just wishing he would return to St. Louis again so I can hear his beautiful voice in person. Love the music and always wanting more.

Well, I just love the entire album...all of it...just all of it...Having seen Ryan in person a lot last year opening for David Cook, I could not get enough of Ryan....and waiting for 11:59 has NOT been easy!
Ryan is so incomparable....so incredible...the CD will wear out! Thank God for Ryan and his band!

I tend to buy both the iTunes version and the CD version of my favorite artists. :)

I'm currently addicted to hitting the repeat button for the 4 songs that are somewhat new to me: Unbreak, Start A Fire, 11:59, Gonna Make It Right. It's a crime that Gonna Make It Right is just a bonus intead of a regular album track. BTW, does anyone know who is singing the background vocals near the end of GMIR? So hauntingly beautiful! :) Would love to see all of the songs on this album become singles but since that's not possible I'll just look forward to hearing Start A Fire on the radio soon. According to allaccess.com, SAF is the next single on HAC radio starting in mid-September.

Ah, I did not know that. I don't use ITunes. I think that is not the best way to do music. It's the most ECO friendly way to distribute music but artwork. An album has to be done on a CD or Tape or Vynial. I'm very old fasioned. If its not on CD then it doen't count. (in my eyes).

MikeyT, have you checked out itunes deluxe version? It includes "Back of Your Car" and a stunning rendition of "Gonna Make It Right," plus a reworked version of "You and Me." Also includes the three music videos... but best of all, you can buy them a la carte. Most itunes force you to buy the whole album to get the bonus tracks, but the 11:59 bonus tracks can be purchased individually. Check it out!
