I am stranded!

In this modern world, I can instantly update you to my always exciting life. Here we are at 1:30 am. I am stranded at a Dunkin Donuts/Baskin Robbins in the heart of Queens off of the Expressway. My car had a blowout and I am now waiting for what is predicted to be hours before the tow truck can get me.

So I hang here with homeless people and thugs.

Reasons to blog this:

1. To prove that I really think about my fans all the time.

2. To hope my fans think about me (especially the ones in Queens who have cars that can pick me up… hint, hint)

3. To pass my time

4. To make you laugh (haha)

5. To get your sympathy (feel free to comment below)

I’ll let you know what happens. If you don’t hear from me in the next few days and this blog starts blowing up with national attention, then you know I am in trouble. I’ll leave a trail of donut crumbs for you to follow if I go missing.

Hope you are all sleeping soundly.

Well, damn if I lived in NY I would’ve come to pick you without hesitation! I can always drink a cup of joe at 1:30am. Now I am just wondering if you are still there being that it is 12:48 am in Cali it would be like over 2 hours later for you. Hope that someone on the East Coast heard your S.O.S. or the tow truck was early for once. Will be on the lookout for signs that R.Star is alive and kicking!

    Peace n hugs,
    Trinity

  2. Trinity Says:

This is my first First Post lol!

  3. Trinity Says:

oh and I guess it’s only been an hour my mind is still groggy from all the free booze on Sunday. BTW check the pics they are posted in my Myspace page.

  4. Trinity Says:

OMG now I just feel dumb - it is has been over 2 hours. The blog shows current time as 11:58pm but it is 12:58 here and that means it would be 3:58 there. Ok I’m done. Time for bed. Peace and doughnuts!

  5. Gareth Says:

    Unlucky!
Great post though, made me laugh :D

  6. Rogue Dom Says:

I was waiting for reason #6 In case I’m never found. LoL. but you did kind of cover that after the list. Hope all turned out well. Next time, call me. I can be in NYC in three hours, 2 1/2 for you, bro. And I am ALWAYS up at 1:30am.

  7. Glo Says:

Dunkin Donuts has the best coffee.

    You’re safe now, I hope?

  8. Karla Says:

    LMAO

If I had read this last night I would have driven cross country to pick you up. Okay maybe not, but I would have argued with my husband about it for awhile until I lost.

  9. Velva Says:

Here’s a bright side: you have 24 hour restaurants next to the expressway so you aren’t blogging from your locked car as you wait, cold and hungry, for the axe murderer to find you.

That sucks! I hope you got home safe and sound. Especially since it’s now about 11:30 in the morning your time.

    (hugs)

  10. Patrick Says:

This was a good laugh. I’m hoping by the time you read this you got out of Dunkin Donuts safely and without being attacked and mugged by an angry street mob (or the local Dunkin Donut thugs).

    Take care!

  11. Jacyln Says:

Its morning now…well even afternoon for you…hope everything turned out ok. Its good to know you at least didn’t starve out there. I had no idea there was such a thing as a 24 hour DD/BR. Do they serve ice cream that late? Anyway, your fans are always thinking about you too!

  12. Danielle Says:

“2. To hope my fans think about me (especially the ones in Queens who have cars that can pick me up… hint, hint)”

OOPS. That’d be me. Sorry Ryan. On another note, you survived the thugs in Queens. YAY.

Next time, just come to my house. lol.

  13. Julie B... Says:

You know I would have tried to find a way to rescue you;-)
I’m assuming you made it out of the Dunk/Bask safely and without too much of a sugar high.

  14. Michelle Says:

Never in my life have I wished I lived in Queens…until now!!!

  15. Willo Says:

If I had only known … I would have had the Brother-In-Law send a Town Car over and pick you up! I mean .. I would have driven there myself to get you .. but seeing that I’m in Orlando .. I think the tow truck would have arrived before I got there! Besides, BIL is loaded he can afford to send a car!

Did you at least eat an Apple Crumb donut .. or perhaps even a Boston Cream? If you’re going to be stranded … at least enjoy yourself while you’re there!

I’ve been to Queen once … with a forever ago boyfriend. There are some really cute Brownstones in that direction. Wait … Queens can’t be all that bad … now that I think of it … at least two of my past boyfriends were Queens residents growing up. There’s something about New York men ….

  16. Willo Says:

why is the time on your blog set 4 hours earlier than EST??

  17. sweetsassy Says:

“To hope my fans think about me (especially the ones in Queens who have cars that can pick me up… hint, hint)”

Sorry Ryan, I also live in Queens and would have picked you up if I was actually up reading your blog at 1:30 a.m. LOL next time just send HELP through your mobile fan club :)
And Yes, Warning Dunkin Donuts is the prime spot for the homeless Queens people & Thugzs.haha hope you made it out safe with a fresh cup of coffee! :)

  18. Alicia Says:

Ryan you are sooo funny !!! The picture of the woman slumped on the table — LOL I hope you got home safe. If not I shall follow the donut crumb trail right to you ~
    :)

  19. jelena Says:

that DD is right by my house… and i was probably passing it around 1,30am coming home from work… DD is much safer than working in a bar with crazy drunks than a DD with “thugs”, i think i got you beat

  20. Melissa Says:

I’d have made you sing for a ride. I’m just not nice enough to do it for free. ;)

  21. Kaden Says:

Dearest, there are no accidents. You were given the gift of time to ponder on something…and blessed with the smell of donuts and coffee.

I’m sure you were fine in the DD, and I really hope your car wasn’t jacked while you waited though.

    : )
    Kaden

  22. Melinda Says:

    Oh MY Ryan!

Why does this sound scary AND funny at the same time?

Twas great to see you …hope that everything settles down
    for you.

    Love and disinfectant baby!

  23. Nickey Says:

Ryan, it is good to know you are still thinking of all of us while you are out there stranded. Of course we are all thinking of you too. It is a shame we aren’t all connected in thoughts somehow so someone could have come rescue you. Would make for a really cool Sci-Fi movie, wouldn’t it? “Ryan’s Minions”…. lol Okay, okay… glad you made it out safely without anyone having to chase down donut crumbs. ;OP

  24. Misty Says:

I am in a bit of a mood so in the pic Thugz and Harmony, what part were you? :) I would think Harmony, but… Glad you did not try to change the tire. Does this mean I should stop whining about how you have your entourage, and I sniff am running around trying to fend for myself? Read the map and drive at the same time, etc.
Of course I hope you are now doing well and tire commercials :) well one quick one anyway.

  25. Shannon Says:

Ryan … you don’t know how to change a tire yourself?

  26. Rosanne Says:

I would have driven over & changed a tire for you! If your ever stranded in Texas, put up a blog… I’ll be there.

  27. Laura Says:

    Ryan,
That stinks to hear about what happened
My parents and I had an experince like that once, but it was during the daylight.
We were driving through the older part of Orlando FL, when the car began to act strange
It died right as we pulled into a pretty much run down looking Quicky-mart
My Dad called AAA, who drove him to a local car dealership to rent a tow truck, while Mom and I went into some of the local stores, including a record store.
    Have a better week

    Laura

PS After hearing this story, I sure can go for some Dunkin’ Dounuts now
    LOL LOL

  28. Leigh Says:

Thats when you hire a cab :P

or if it was a tire blowout, ring up friends at god awful hours and say hey you know that favour you owe me? i need a tyre :P

  29. Lynn Says:

HAHAHAHAA!! Ryan you are funny, leaving donut crumbs for us. Hope you got home safe.

  30. Stephanie Says:

There are def worse places you could be stuck! lol! I personally hate donuts, but love delicious coffee….After that long night you could prob use a night out with your boys for some good times :)

  31. Vanessa Says:

Ryan, I hope you have been rescued! Sorry you had a bad night. How was your concert in LA?

  32. deb Says:

  33. Paul Benedict Says:

    LOL

    hilarious post

  34. Gemma Says:

Ryan, I live in Australia but had I been in the same country - no matter how far, I would have picked you up and had you in the ‘back of my car’ - I mean given you a lift in my car…. hmmm, mmmmmmmmmmmm. I digress…

I LOVE you and your music. Keep it coming, hope you made it safe and sound.

  36. KarenLA Says:

Not fun getting stuck in the middle of the night but at least you had donuts, coffee and hopefully some friends with you. Maybe now you can even look back at it and laugh. Miss you in LA already. Hope you make it back here soon… K

  37. Michele Says:

I’m a vegetarian, therefore do not eat doughnuts so that would be hell….but I hear they have good coffee. I wouldn’t know, I’m a west coaster…in San Diego…you know that place south of LA that you don’t play in? Yeah, that place! Glad you got home safe though! Peace & <3

  38. Sondra Says:

Man you make me laugh!! You always put a smile on my face when I read your blogs!!! Shame it was under bad circumstances for you but at least you kept yourself busy!!!
