Dreamz with a “z”
On a more important note to yesterday’s blog, I realize that as other artists throw their support publicly to the ones in the race, I have been quiet on my stance. I am taking this time to come out and can say here for the first time that I am officially endorsing David Archuleta to win Idol this year.
That’s right, I said it.

Darn it Ryan! Now you have that damn song stuck in my head. In Mandy Moore’s voice no less.. grrr…

I’ll be really surprised if he doesn’t win. Then again, if I were a record executive, I would’ve given him a deal after his first audition.
That kid can sing!!

Wow, I couldn’t disagree more. I wish you elaborated! For all the reasons why I love your music is all the reasons why I can’t love Archie. David Cook for the gold!

*GASP*
You should be ashamed of yourself.

I cannot give an opinion … i fall asleep during each of eddie munsters , err the little fella’s performances. talent: yes … heart: no.
May 21st, 2008 at 12:55 pm
oh no. oh HELLA no.
please say you’re kidding.
eddie munster, heh heh, that’s funny.
David Cook reminds me of you because he has that individual style that you have. You both know who you are and seem to stand by it…
well, at least until you voted for Arch.

So if the ballot was Ryan vs. either who then? I would vote for Ryan of course. As for this years Idol, as usual I was frequently surprised to see who was winning and who was losing all year long. I do disagree with the heart no remark, of the two archie could convey emotion/range much better than Cook more frequently. That did seem to change for Cook in the last two shows though. Anyway it’s over and I am sure they will both make money so back to worrying about some other people I know.

Archie’s loss doesn’t change anything for me. I will support him and his work with undying devotion and appreciation. His glorious tenor, his commitment, passion, and interpretive intelligence, would be remarkable for any singer, and are astonishing for a 17-year-old.
May 22nd, 2008 at 9:09 pm
OK, I’ve watched a few performances online now and I get you. Archie is a very talented kid who really doesn’t sound like everyone out there. I think he needs to grow into his talent, but I get the appeal.
Yes, I once again managed to almost completely ignore AI. Although I did try very hard to convince the bunny ears to give me Fox the day Neil Diamond was on.

BOO! Man, Ryan, you rock, but you endorsed David A??? Maybe you don’t want to deal with competition from David C?
j/k I’ll still buy your album, man… Been waiting awhile for it. Peace!
May 23rd, 2008 at 9:36 am
oh no you di’nt. they are both fantastic singers, but cook will make the kind of music that i would want to listen to. it also doesn’t hurt that he gives me a just a little bit of lady wood. too far?
i do hope that his album does not take five years to make. i kid. take your time. i know it will be worth the wait.

I liked Davd A best but did think that he might be a bit young to get thrown to lions so to speak… so wasn’t really that disappointed when he didn’t win.
May 23rd, 2008 at 4:44 pm
Say What Ryan?????????? Someone cut me a switch, Ryan needs a
whoppen. No way Ryan, Arch is a baby boy who needs time to grow
into music. He is good for the lolliepoper. His time will come. BUT David
Cook, is cooking NOW. Maybe you have a fever Ryan, but i am sure
you will get well soon LOL LOL .
I can’t believe you said that.
Put David Cook on my profile song singing Billie Jean.
So there….. LOL LOL YO

Ryan, I know you were most probably being facetious when you endorsed David Archuleta. David Cook’s fairly generic “rock” persona seemed to have more mass appeal. But I thought Archuleta had true talent and given just a bit more time to mature and learn more, I think he will prove to be best discovery from this year’s American Idol.

I love that kid, I wanted David A to win too.
