In the Beginning…
I figure since the MySpace is fairly up to date I would start off this photographic section right - not with a new expensive photo shoot but with a time of my life that meant a lot to four boys from Long Island.
I grew up with Stage and we started playing at the age of 14 (I’m looking for those photos). These live shots were taken by a high school friend Julia Xanthos (now a real life newspaper photographer like in Spiderman).
It was at one of our last shows together and it somewhat captures what we were about.
The others are from the Maverick Records album photo shoot (Zsolt Sarvary-Bene and Danny Clinch).
The odd one out (you can see my baby picture hanging in the background) was when drummer and nursery school pal Justin Parker (Cortez the Killer) and I were auditioning to be pro wrestlers. Snap into a slim jim!

great pics. Love the home page photo-you look awesome and love the backdrop. Have you ever thought of putting your music on Jango-free music online? It’s kind of like Pandora Radio. I don’t know how you get on there but maybe it’s something to look into? Anyway, Love your music, your voice rocks. Love listening to Eye of the Elephant-awesome-your rocking voice with the piano-LOVE it! : ) Looking forward to seeing you live.
Take care.

Hi-lar-ious! You have the game face down (and as a weekend warrior I know) for the pro-wrestling gig, however it would be sad if something happened to those piano-playin’ fingers.
I just found you on Chopra’s myspace and now are following you around the internet. You are right; there are pros and cons to this constant connection. But its also pretty darn fascinating…..
Have a good one!

This post made me sad. I love Stage. A goddamn shame you only released one album. But it is one of the best albums I own. And just last week I accidentally spilled water on it while I was roadtripping for another band and the liner notes got completely soaked. So I let them dry. Now it’s a single solid mass and it’s crispy sounding and I can’t open the pages. I’m going to cry. Clearly I need a new one.
Also, my red Stage shirt with the kite kid is wearing out on me. That just pisses me off, because now I’m down a shirt, and I only do laundry once a week. I’ll need to take it out of rotation and replace it with another one of equal awesomeness. This is bullshit!
So yeah I still miss Stage. Any plans for a reunion show? Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale maybe? Or summer’s coming up, maybe you can do The Bandshell in Northport. Just throwin’ it out there.
